Jen Linkova Receives 2024 Itojun Service Award

On November 6, 2024, during the 121st IETF meeting held in Dublin, the recipient of the 5th Itojun Service Award was announced. Jen Linkova was honored for her significant contributions to the global deployment of IPv6, particularly in addressing the challenges of IPv6 adoption in enterprise networks.
The award, established by the Internet Society (ISOC) in memory of Jun-ichiro "Itojun" Hagino, who passed away suddenly in 2007, is presented to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the development and deployment of IPv6.
It was also announced that with this year’s award, the Itojun Service Award will be concluded, as IPv6 deployment has entered a new phase.
