The WIDE Project celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026. To mark this milestone, we will hold the WIDE Project 40th Anniversary Symposium on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Meiji Kinenkan in Tokyo.

Part 1 will look back on the history of the WIDE Project and explore the future of the Internet and the Project’s activities. Participants may attend either in person or online via live streaming. Part 2 will be a commemorative reception for members, partners, and friends of the WIDE Project.
