For A Connected and Resilient Pacific

Arterial Research and Educational Network in Asia Pacific (ARENA-PAC), a broadband backbone network with the purpose of research and education, operated by WIDE Project, announces a major strategic milestone: the formal establishment of its high-capacity research and education network initiative in the Pacific region as a part of ARENA-PAC.

Since its launch, ARENA-PAC has focused on delivering advanced connectivity to research and education communities across Asia, working closely with national research and education networks (NRENs) and regional partners. These efforts have supported collaborative science, capacity building, and resilient network infrastructure across the Southeast and East Asia.

Building on this foundation, ARENA-PAC is now extending its mission further into the Pacific, where demand for reliable and high-bandwidth connectivity is rapidly increasing.
