On 22nd November 2022, the Japan IGF Task Force (hereafter referred to as "this TF"), of which WIDE Project is a founding member, was established. Jun Murai, the founder of the WIDE Project, has been appointed Chairman of the TF.

The 2023 meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) (hereinafter referred to as "IGF2023") organized by the United Nations will be held in Japan for the first time. We will collaborate with communities in Japan and abroad to support exchanges among participants and to send a message from Japan to the global information society. We also plan succession activities activities after IGF2023 is held.
