The National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), the National Institute of Informatics (NII), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Network (MAFFIN), and the WIDE Project, which operates the ARENA-PAC, have concluded an agreement to promote collaboration and cooperation in the interoperable environment. By concluding this agreement, we will promote smooth and effective traffic exchange among networks to contribute to Japan’s research, development and education networks.
NICT, NII, MAFFIN and WIDE (hereinafter referred to as the four parties) concluded an agreement to promote collaboration and cooperation in the construction and operation of an interconnection environment. The signing ceremony of the agreement between the four parties was held on October 7 at the NICT Innovation Center. By concluding this agreement, we will promote smooth and effective traffic exchange among networks to contribute to Japan’s research, development and education networks.
Four parties collaborate as APAN-JP and other cooperative frameworks and will continue enhancing the research, development, and education networks. The Liaison Committee, whose members are the four parties that have signed the agreement, will share information on the current status and plans. It will also promote cooperation and collaboration among global collaboration peers such as APOnet(*1) and AER(*2). (Reference: attached figure).
