XIRD

• Theme : This working group is a short term, limited project, which discusses, designs and implements the technology for accessing RDB (Relational Database) using XML technologies.

• We had implemented the middleware that realizes easy access to RDBMS called XIRD.
• We publish the XIRD software at http://member.wide.ad.jp/wg/xird/.
• We had a presentation at FIT 2004. The title was "DB independent middleware for rapid prototyping".
• We had a presentation at WIDE camp Autumn 2004.
• We had used XIRD in the "Calorie-DB" that implemented by Auto-ID WG.
