Overview of research:

Through the activities listed below, the Studio work group promoted the use of the Internet as a means for the interchange of information.
Research on scenarios for outdoor use of the Internet;
Research on game to be played by Internet users;
Research on methods for the live transmission of information;
Research on methods for the on-demand transmission of information;
Authoring of experimental content as a supplementary activity.

Resume:

April 1996:	Work group launched.
May 1996:	Design and implementation of infrastructure and platform required in order to realize aims; Launch of prototype information server; Planning of experimental content;
December 1996:	Design and implementation of game for Internet users; Authoring of experimental content; Trialling of outdoor Internet access system in the suburbs of Tokyo; Trialling of outdoor Internet access system in the field (e.g. coastal and mountain areas);
March 1997:	Work concluded and group disbanded.
