The growth of the Internet and the burgeoning of interest in applications such as broadcasting services and teleconferencing has been accompanied by a growing demand for the use of stable multicasting. To provide a technological answer to this need, WIDE's RM WG is occupied with practical, nuts-and-bolts research on route control stabilization and RM functions in the transport layer.
