Concluded Working Groups

  • Theme : The WG discuss about Real-Space network.
  • Chair : Youjiro Uo, Shirou Wakayama
  • Activity period : 2002/12/19 - 2007/3/15

This working group works on real space network. A real space network bridges real space information and the Internet. Real space information includes information of people, objects, locations, and surrounding environment. Our focus is on identifiers in the network. In addition, we aim for standardization and establishment of practice skills on the areas of architecture, middleware, applications, and so on. Our expected contributions are demonstrations of our works on WIDE camp, packaged system including fundamental technologies, and diffusion of the technologies through distribution of the system. The outcomes will be shared with other real space related working groups.
