The 76th IETF meeting will be held in Hiroshima, Japan.
IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) announced in its 72th meeting held in Dublin, Ireland that its 76th meeting will be held in Hiroshima Japan in November, 2009. IETF defines the standard of Internet related technologies via mailing list and face-to-face meeting which is held 3 times a year. It will be the second IETF meeting in Japan after Yokohama IETF meeting in July 2002, or the fourth IETF meeting held in Asia-Pacific region.
It will be important to hold IETF meeting in Japan when the IPv4 address depletion is getting serious. It will also our 20th anniversary since Japan became a part of the Internet.
WIDE Project, in conjunction with Japanese industries, are going to make every possible effort to hold the IETF Hiroshima meeting successfull and productive.
